A bit about me, well I graduated from Liverpool Hope University in 2012 leaving with a 2:1 Bachelor of Arts degree in Design with honours, here I specialised in metal work and ceramics.

More recently, I have completed a year postgraduate residency at Bishopsland Educational Trust, where I developed new ideas in both jewellery and silversmithing, developed my skills further and even learnt something new.

I am inspired by anything and everything, which doesn't really help, but narrowing it down I think it's got to be simple and natural forms, from basic shapes to nature at its best.

My love of shapes comes from a love of origami, a favourite pastime of mine, the idea of taking a simple sheet of paper and creating a magnificent 2D or 3D design just from folding lines is something I've always found rather inspiring.

Also inspired by a natural love of nature, how nature can look so different yet also be the same, Meaning a wave in the ocean is still a wave but never the same as the one before it. Nature has so many different shapes and organic forms of its own.

These are some of the things I look at when designing within my own work.

I try to capture the natural motions of a piece and give my work a visually elegant aesthetic.

I consider myself as a jeweller, but I do enjoy the challenge of a piece of silversmithing.

I believe that every new experience is a learning curve and what better way to learn than to do it.

Commissions would be gladly received.
